Can my wife sue me after our divorce for an affair?

I had the affair after we were married.

Doubtful. For your wife to sue, she has to show that she was harmed by your actions. If your divorce happened before the affair, she has not claim that she was harmed by your actions. The divorce separated you and your wife legally and you are free to meet other women.

She can't sue you, she can however claim more from you during the divorce since she can blame the ending of the marriage on your breaking faith with her.

Your wife can not sue you for an affair unless she tries to sue you for emotional damages (or pay for a therapist). If you have children it could cause her to get full custody. Other than that, there isn't a lot that can come from an affair. Good luck!

If you had the affair while you were married your wife can present evidence to the judge to adjust your divorce settlement and any custody agreements.

If you were divorced at the time of this new sexual liason, then she was not your wife and thus it was not an "affair". It is then a new "girlfriend". If you were legally separated but still married, it is still an affair and can impact alimony decisions.

No. the wife will be the ex-wife after a divorce & she will never be able to sue her ex-husband for being with someone new. It can't technically be an affair if both parties are no longer married.

I would certainly think that after the divorce is final, that sort of thing would be part of the past and not needing to be revisited.
