Yes it can. While pregant the baby puts pressure on everything. including your back. It's very common and nothing to worry about. Just do some back exerises to help it but consult your dr. before you do so.

Oh yes. The growing baby puts increasing pressure on everything in your body, including your sciatic nerve. You may feel sharp, shooting pains down your leg if this happens.

Yes, it can affect it. During all three of my pregnancies, I had trouble with my sciatic nerve. It was very painful at times, and my doctor said there wasn't much I could do about it. However, I had a friend that showed me some yoga stretches that did help some.

Yes. Both times when I was pregnant around the fifth or sixth month (when I really started to show) I started to have trouble with my sciatic nerve. At times I had to walk very slowly. However, after the pregnancy things went back to normal.

Women who are pregnant are more prone to disc injury. This can cause sciatic pain to occur during pregnancy. It's actually not due to the baby pressing on the nerve. If you experience pain consult your doctor. There are things that they can suggest to make you feel better.

Yes,during pregnancy the sciatic nerve is affected due to the mass of the fetus which applies pressure on the sciatic nerve which is at the lower back and causes cramps at this region and backache as the sciatic nerve allows functioning of the lower leg muscle and this is altered.

In short, yes. When the baby grows it can push on the sciatic nerve causing the feeling of pins and needles in the legs. A chiropractor can help with pain.
