Yes mono can take a long time to recover from. When someone has mono recovery is slow because the body is so week. Some kids miss a whole semester of classes because of mono.

Unfortunately, yes. Mono can stay in the body for (hold on) up to a year, although generally speaking, three months is the time period in which you are most sick.

Mono typically lasts for a very long time. As a matter of fact most people have mono for a while before they realize that they even have it. Once they are diagnosed it could take a while to clear up.
