Can I use toothpaste during Roza?

I am new to Jewish traditions and will be going through Roza soon and would like to know if I can still bursh my teeth.

Most Jews agree that you can brush your teeth so long as you don't swallow any toothpaste or water. When in doubt, though, always ask your rabbi.

Generally you are permitted to brush your teeth during the fast. Many will say just to not swallow the toothpaste or water. Some recommend miswak which is a type of tree used to clean teeth.

The answer is a little ambiguous. Most people believe it is acceptable to brush your teeth during Roza, so long as you don't swallow any of the toothpaste or water during the process. It is suggested that you can use a miswak instead to clean your teeth though some people will say not to brush at all just in case.

I am not Jewish, and I tried looking up this tradition online but no success. You can talk to your Rabbi for guidance in anything, including what you can and can't do during Roza. Though, I have a feeling that you can use toothpaste. I think members of your community will want you to have a clean mouth.
