Can I take my pillow onto the airplane?

In most airplanes you our allowed 1 personal item besides your usual hand baggage. But it is always better to put it in your suitcase. There are countries that won't allow you to bring pillows, blankets or mattresses into their country. They fear the bed bugs and dust mites.

Although pillows are often supplied you may also carry your own pillow on flights with you. It is just considered part of your carry ons. Most people just feel better with their own pillow
