As long as you aren't swallowing much more than the amount generally used for brushing one's teeth, then yes, you can swallow it. It is generally not advised to swallow toothpaste because of its fluoride content, however the amount of fluoride in one "serving" is not enough to harm you.
I've been swallowing my toothpaste for years with no harmful effects. No indigestion either. I only use a pea size bit. Can't hurt, probably helps reduce decay. No fluoride in the water here in NJ. None naturally, and the wacko right wingers intimidate the public health officials to not add add a comment
