How would I do it and why?
Answer by scguy (23)
No. A person would have no reason to place a lien on a home that they owned. A lien is a hold against the property to secure some other interest.

A lien is placed on a home by a creditor who has been granted a judgment against the homeowner. The home cannot be sold until the debt is resolved/settled.
