Can I make my own skates?

Ice skates, no. Roller skates maybe with a good pair of shoes or boots and a solid set of wheels to attach them to.

I would not reccomend making your own skates. It is better to buy them in case you loose a wheel while skating and get hurt you can call the company. It would be very hard to place wheels on a regular pair of shoes that would stay on while you were skating.
