Depending on your state laws, your insurer may allow you to retain the salvage from a total loss and deduct the salvage value from your settlement.

If your vehicle is a rebuilt piece of salvage, you may still make a claim but the value if your vehcile may not be comparable to NADA or Blue Book.

I suppose you could. Generally an insurance carrier will not make payment on a salvaged title. The salvage title indicates the vehicle has already been totaled once. Therefore, they generally will not pay twice for the same vehicle. Liability coverage only is available for this type of situation. The carrier needs to be told if it's a salavage title.
