Wash your hair in the same flea shampoo you would use on your dog. It works, I've tried it. Then, have someone pick through your hair to find any stray fleas.

To rid your hair of fleas, coat your scalp with mayonnaise or cooking oil and let it sit for 10 minutes. Wash your hair well with shampoo and rinse thoroughly; repeat if you haven't gotten all the oil out. Then treat your dog for fleas and flea-bomb your house!

There are shampoos you can buy in pharmacies that get rid of lice and fleas. If that doesn't work, the drastic method of shaving your head is always an option.

The best thing to do is to treat your dogs first with an anti flea shampoo. Next make sure you wash your sheets, clean your carpet and furniture. Also make sure you wash your hair with some shampoo. It can be a regular type shampoo. Remember to also wash skin and scalp as well.
