Yes, unfortunately it is very easy to put viruses onto your cell phone by downloading unauthorized mp3s or other media that has been pirated. The good news is that there are many free apps that will wipe these viruses.

As of right now, there are no known viruses or malware that can enter a phone through an mp3 file.
