Yea, a gorilla can climb a tree only to get food. You see the male gorilla is very large so that makes it difficult to swing from the trees. They like to spend most of there time on the ground. Now the young and the females gorilla are much lighter so that makes it easy for them to climb and swing.

Yes, gorillas an climb. They tend to live in forests. They must often climb to find food. They babies often spend time in trees because they are safe there from predators. They cannot climb very fast, though, and they don't spend all of their time in trees. They are better climbers than humans.
