Can damage to your heart valves cause seizures?

I am trying to determine what is causing my Aunt to have seizures.

Indirectly a damaged heart valve could cause seisures. If the valve problem is associated with atrial fibrilation then clots could form in the atrium. Those clots could then be dislodged and could travel up the arteries into the brain causing a cerebral ischemic attack. Please see a doctor about this!

It sounds possible, though you'd need a physician to know for sure. I've heard of damaged valves not pumping enough blood to the brain when strained, which can cause a seizure. I've also heard of nerve damage causing a 'negative feedback' through the vegas nerve to the brain.

You would have to consult a doctor about it, The doctor may know. You should ask the doctor they would know best. The doctor would be able to help her out, and give her the meds she needs.

damage to the heart valve can cause the blood pressure level low which will result in reduced flow to the brain and cause fainting. there is difference between fainting and seizures, so, doctors carefully diagnise the condition. doctors take threECG to find out the elctric vaves to the heart ,more than this in seizure. s the recovery from the fainted state is slow
