Can chigger bites be contagious?

sort of. If there is someone in your bed as well they will get bit. but you cant transfer the bites to someone who was not exposed to the chiggers.

Chigger bites are absolutely not contagious. They will drive you nuts with the itching but no one else can catch them from you.

When I first moved into my new home the yard was infested with chiggers. They bit me but did not affect my husband. My doctor said chigger bites do not spread to other people and to put rubbing alcohol on the bites to ease the itching.

Chigger Bites are not contagious. The only way to react to a chigger is to have it bite you someplace.
