Can a store sell things that are past the sell by date?

Stores can be finned and closed for selling items that have past their sell by date, often this is missed by some stores as they have so many products.

In a simple answer, no. This would cause health concerns for humans or pets. Or it could make them sick. Have you ever seen/smelled old milk?

In the United States, there is no legal requirement for stores to remove items that are past the "sell by" date.

No, because they might make someone sick if they are eaten. Someone who has a compromised immune system may get very ill if they were to eat these products.

Stores should not be able to sell things past the date set by the manufacturer. The date is there for a reason, to protect the consumer.
