This is a very real concern.There's no medicine YOU can give. This condition demands the intervention and treatment of a vet. Trying to diagnose and treat it on your own will be deadly. You can't really tell if your dog has high blood pressure, this condition and many that look similar can be quickly fatal. He needs his vet, immediately.

Yes, dogs can have high blood pressure just like people. Sometimes it is the primary problem and sometimes it is the result of another disease. Depending on the problem a dog can be given a beta blocker.

Absolutely. Usually diet, coupled with little exercize will create the condition ripe for a dog with high blood pressure. Feed adequately and exercize your dog regularly.
