They can be used to make Christmas ornaments like stars and candy canes, or bent to make angel wings. Pair them with styrofoam balls to make all kinds of bugs. They can be used to make friendship bracelets and cute necklaces. Just add some beads. They can also be twisted into shapes to make free standing animals and sculptures.

Kids enjoy twisting them into all kinds of things, like animals, Christmas ornaments, etc. A group of adults I work with used them as part of a timeline made with air-dry clay last week--they work well for tree trunks and other structural components. They are not really "in style" right now, so they are mostly just to twist and bend.
