If your doctor isn't worried, you certainly shouldn't be. You can see the heart beat with an ultrasound before you will be able to hear it, which is usually around 9-10 weeks in. It's the same things as with baby moving, he/she is so tiny that they may be doing back flips, but you won't feel those for months.

Nope. This is why most doctors won't even attempt to find the heart beat until after 10 weeks. During the tenth week the baby's heart will start to beat and you should be able to hear it anytime after that. A lot of doctors choose not to listen for it until 12 weeks so they don't worry the mother.

No. The heartbeat is normally heard when you are at least 10 weeks pregnant. Most women get concerned when they go for their ultrasounds and can't hear the heartbeat after a couple of months. It is a common worry. On your 10 week ultrasound is when you should hear the heartbeat.

The heart beat of the coming baby starts usually after the ned of 12-13 weeks from the date of getting pregnant. So, there is nothing much to worry for the time being.
