Are throwaway cell phones the next greatest thing?

I keep hearing people talk about them and they sound great.

It depends what you are looking for in a cell phone. If you do not use your phone that often, but would still like to have one in case of emergencies, this is a great option. If you plan to use your phone fairly often though it is better to get a phone with a monthly plan.

Cell phones seem to get fancier and more expensive as the months go by. They always seem to have more bells and whistles. They are constantly getting more and more expensive, so I am not sure that we will ever have throwaway cell phones, at least not in North America.

I think that a throwaway cell phone is a great idea, since I like to change my phone every month. So now I can do it without feeling guilt.

Throwaway phones are good if you only need to use a phone a few times or just need a cheap phone to make a few calls. They're also useful if you don't want someone to be able to track you.

Depends what you are looking for in a cell phone. The next biggest thing in Cell phone Technology is Microvision's pico projector a handled device that projects videos and images.

Yes, I think so. In a world where anonymity is getting harder and harder to accomplish, it is a good way to make calls untraceable to you (as long as you buy it in cash).

that would be sad if it was the next big thing. Throw away cell phones are for people that cannot have a regular contract due to bad credit. Most companies will charge you 400 just to sign up with them if you have bad credit. throw aways are cheaper.

I never had one to tell You the truth but to me, that does sound like a waste of money. You'll have to continue to buy yet another phone. That has to add up.

The problem with disposable phones is that they are made cheaply, so for all the disposable phones you would need to buy, you exceed the cost of one normal phone.
