Question by  ThomasGray (31)

Are there any herbs that help with gout?

I have flair ups with gout from time to time and have heard mixed things concerning using herbs to help relieve the symptoms.

Gout is caused when there is a buildup of uric acid in the blood and tissues. Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and a less acidic diet can help relieve symptoms. So, that said; eating fresh fruits such as apples, bananas, celery, carrots, lettuce and even healthy pasta salads. Also, more mild exercise such as walking will definitely help.
