Are pit bulls fighting dogs?

We have a full blooded pit bull and three kids. The way we raised her, she is a baby doll, not a fighter. She will still be protective when needed.

This is such a common misconception! A pit bull can be a wonderful pet, just as any dog can, if raised correctly!

It is true that they are used as fighting dogs, it is in their genes to be good at it and they are more prone to such behaviors. Also have in mind that many dogs turn violent not because of their breed but because of how they've been raised.

A pit bull is bred to fight. It's like born in them and they are very well known to attack children or adults for no reason at all. Please don't ever trust one.

Pitt bulls were bred for dog fighting, some people still do it. It is illegal to fight dogs. In the hay day in England they used them for bull baiting.This activity is now banned, and people found they could make a pretty penny fighting these dogs,soemstill do it today.

They are often "trained" to fight yes, because they are strong physically and in will. They can be great pets, but you MUST train them properly, because the fighting instinct is being bread into them generation after generation. Sign up for a puppy classes, and do the homework! You need to be the alpha dog and have the dogs respect!
