Hamsters are good pets for people with apartments or other limited space. Their cages do not take up much room. They do need regular care, such as daily feeding and watering. Children especially enjoy playing with hamsters and they are inexpensive pets for those on a budget. However they have a short life span.

Hamsters are good pets. They do nibble a little but nothing too serious. They are great as a first pet for kids because the kids can have fun picking out all the toys to put in the cage. Keeping the cage clean is most important in having a hamster.
