Are cedar shrubs a good choice for a yard?

I am new to landscaping.

Cedar is a strong plant that grows well in most yards. It is important to note that cedars prefer acidic soil, somewhere between 6-6.5 pH levels. Therefore, you may need to mix some lime into your soil to provide prime growing conditions.

It all depends on your personal taste these shrubs last year round and take very little maintenance so in that aspect they are great.

Cedar shrubs are very easy to grow maintain. Very little trimming is needed and they grow in any type of soil. If you buy the type that grow in width make sure you space them far apart. Make sure the type you purchase are not suseptible to bag worms.

Cedar shrubs are an excellent choice when concerning you landscape remodeling options. Cedar shrubs can be used beautifully as foundation plantings, hedges, screens or even as accent shrubs . The care for these are very easy to maintain. Basic watering and can withstand all types of weather that may come along.
