There are many palms that can be indoor plants. The best ones are areca palms, bamboo palms, and kentia palms. They don't get over 6 feet tall until they are very old. Most palms will need really high light situations to grow their best, so you need a sunny window or sunroom. Most are tolerant of drought.

The palms trees that need the least attention tend to be a popular indoor plant. If the palm tree does poorly people move it outside and it thrives in the sun. You have to create the environment that if likes. Palm trees do well in high humidity. Warm temperature and good air circulation is needed.
