Because they live most of their lives underground and don't use their vision, their eyes have become useless over thousands of years. Moles have an incredible sense of smell, which is what leads them to grubs and worms, the only things moles eat. They travel through a self-created systems of tunnels based on their sense of smell.

Yes all moles are blind. There other senses are more in tuned with there surroundings. Those super tuned senses like smell and touch are what helps the mole get around.
