How long will hydrocodone last in your blood?

I want to know if they can detect hydrocodone in your system after two days?

Answer by  h (364)

This answer specifically depends on your kidneys and liver because those are the organs that are used to metabolize the drugs in your system. For the average person, it only takes 4-8 hours to metabolize the drug.

Hydrocodone usually takes three to four days to get out of your system. However, as with most drugs the more you take will effect how long it stays in your system. Additionally, there are many other factors that come into play and will depend on your bodies natural metabolism, diet, the duration of time the drug was taken.

Hydrocodone is present in the body for at 72-96 hours. Drinking copious amounts of fluids does nothing to speed the elimination process, contrary to popular myth. The medication is metabolized in the liver , circulated in the bloodstream and eventually eliminated by the kidneys. There are no secret methods of speeding up the process.

For Hydrocodone, the typical amount of time is roughly three days. But, it is mostly the same with all pills that stay in your blood stream which is typically around the same time limit as hydrocodone.

If you take it everyday it would take a week to get out of your system. If you just take one it should be gone after a couple of day.

It can, but this depends on the dose that was given intially and the level of clearance dictated by liver function.

Hydrocodone metabolizes to hydromorphone in a few days. I say few because everybody's metabolism is different. What takes you 3 days to breakdown may take somebody else 5 or 6 days. Anyway to be safe wait 3-4 days. If you're worried about a blood test, best thing to do is to not do hydrocodone beforehand.
