What is the rarest blood type?

I may donate blood, but I think my blood is rare, so I don't know if I will be helping.

The rarest is AB- forms only .7% or about 1 in 167 people.

The one that is least often present is AB Rh negative. However, any blood type where demand is greater than supply is considered rare. Those in greatest demand change constantly.

AB negative is the rarest common blood type. However, it can be used by blood banks. There are also rare blood types unique to families.
