It's difficult to learn to knit by simply reading instructions. Watching someone knit while they explain the steps is somewhat better, but this can be extremely tedious and sometimes annoying to the master knitter. Watching a video with the ability to rewind and rewatch particular steps is the most effective way to learn how to knit.

Every begginer would apreciate that! Your friend could look it at the speed she likes and watch it again and in that way to learn really quickly!
