The scoring consists of points, games and sets. The points are 15, 30, 40 and then the player wins the game. If it is tied at 40-40, the score is deuce and a player must win two consecutive points. 6 games wins a set, at 6-6 there is a tiebreaker. Two out of three sets wins a match.
Men play best of five sets, women play best of three sets. One set has six games. The points in each game go: love=0, 15=1 point, 30=2 points, 40=3 points.
Every point you win, you get 15. If you win 2 points and your opponent wins 0, then it is 30-love. Each game is to 60 points (nobody says 60 in the game though). You play 6 games to a set. You play first to 3 sets usually.
Win match = win 2 sets/women and 3 sets/men. Win set = win 6 games. Game = start at "Love" = 0; first point = 15; second point = 30; third point = 40. Fourth point = won "game" unless you tie at 40 points (called deuce). Must win two points consequetively after duece to win game. To win set must be 2 games up.
Womens: Best 2 of 3 sets
Men: Best 3 of 5 sets
You win a set when you win 6 games (but you must win by 2, if it's 6-6 it goes to a tiebreak)
The scoring in an individual game is: 15-30-40-Game. You also must win by 2 so 40-40 i deuce.
A tennis match consists of points, games, and sets. Four points equals one game. If tied at 3 points, two points in a row wins the game. Six games win a set. If tied at six games, two games in a row wins the set. Two sets wins a two out of 3 set match.
Tennis is scored as follows; as points are won the scoring adds in the following way 15, 30, 40 then game. 40 all is called deuce then there is decider.
Games are played to 4, win by 2. Instead of using 0, 1, 2, and 3; tennis uses Love, 15, 30, and 40.
If both players get 40 (aka 3), it's deuce. From deuce, you must win 2 points in a row to take the game; one point gives "advantage". If your opponent wins on your advantage, it's deuce again.
