Gas prices are based on supply, demand, the market, and other conditions. If demand drops or supply increases the price will go down.

I do not think that the gas prices will ever go down. There is too much greed out there and everyone wants to make more money.

Gas prices will go down if: 1. Demand drops enough that prices fall with it 2. Supplies surges to exceed demand, bringing down prices

Gas prices will likely go down slightly, but don't expect prices to return to the glory days of 5o cents per gallon. Worldwide demand has increased dramatically since then.
