Why would you need to put foils in your hair?

Foils are put in hair to add highlights and dimension to your hair color. You weave out strands of your hair and put the desired hair color on the strands, you then wrap those strands in the foil which helps the hair color process because it generates heat as well as keeping those strands seperate from the rest of hair

Foils are used so that colour does not spread and so that it does not dry before the whole process of colouring has finished.
