goldfish can change colour all through their lives do not change the water 3-4 times a week. the tank should be big like 30gallons. They change color when you change there food or it could be their ammonia or nitrite. Test your water make sure it is good for fish. It might be getting old.

goldfish can change colour all through their lives,you should not be changing the water 3-4 times a week. the tank should be big like 30gallons. or it could be their change of food, or maybe ammonia or nitrite (due to a small space and no filter)you need to test your water. or getting old might be the possible solution.

It could be completely normal because goldfish change colour throughout their lives. Then again it could be that the colours of your goldfish are fading which indicates lack of nutrients and poor water quality in the tank. Check your water parameters just in case and perform a partial water change if needed.
