Why will my Saturn not idle?

Could be the fuel injectors, bad gas, ecu problem, egr valve, you see where I'm going here? You need to take it to a qualified mechanic if you want it fixed right the first time.

Check to see if all the vacuum hoses are connected. Sometimes one will come loose and the car won't idle.

Every car idles, it's just a question of how high or low. There is an idle air control valve, check that. It might be dirty. Check the timing as well.

The first thing I would check is the IAC valve that controls the idle. Next I would check fopr a good spark, fuel, and the plugs are in good shape.

you might have water in your gas and it is making it cut out. another reason could be your spark plugs need to be changed. if just one spark plug is bad your car wont run right

You either have a loose timing belt or chain and it is slipping or your idle is set to low and the air/fuel mixture is not correct.

The reason why your saturn won't idle is most likely because your idle is broken and should be fixed in order for it to idle. it's around a 100 bucks.
