Why is the central air fan not working?

The electric supply to the fan should be checked for confirming the supply is reaching to fan motor. If supply is there, the blades should be tried to move manually to check the free movement. If the fan is moving freely the bearing is also OK. Then motor winding has to be checked.

It maybe broke down. You will need a professional look at it to figure out the problem. It could be anything.
