He may be over run with fleas or worms either one will cause that to happen. He may also have something else medically wrong with him. You should take him to the vet and have them evaluate him that way you will know for sure and you won't be geussing at it and maybe getting it wrong.

Your puppy may be sick. It is always a safe bet to bring your pug into the vet to see if there is anyting that is causing the lethargy. It is also improtant to remember a healthy puppy sleeps 20 hours a day, so the lethargy may just be your puppy getting his daily dose of sleep.

Like human babies, young puppies sleep a lot, so if your puppy is 8 weeks or under and is otherwise healthy, you may just have a sleepy baby. The other causes for lethargy in puppies are much more serious and require immediate medical attention, so have the vet check your puppy out for his health and your peace of mind.

A lethargic pug puppy often means that the puppy is an indicator that the puppy may be sick. This can be from many diseases or conditions from infectious disease to dehydration. Gently squeeze his coat together between your thumb and index finger. If his coat does not return to normal, it may be severe dehydration. Take it to the vet.

Don't waste any more time and get your puppy to the vet ASAP. There could be a several different problems and you need to have it checked out right away. If you bought your puppy from a pet store chances are it's a puppy mill dog. These puppies are weaned too early and have all kinds of problems.

Take your dog to the Vet. Lethargy is often one of the first symptoms of injury (particularly those involving the skeletal structure and connective tissues), illness or infection. Your puppy could be full of worms. Lethargy is a symptom that should not be ignored. The sooner your puppy gets treatment the less your puppy will suffer.
