Why is my feline's muscle wasting away?

This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by a veterinarian right away. It may be due to a poor diet, or is may be a disease. There is no way of officially knowing without a veterianrian.

It's difficult to answer this, but you should certainly see a vet. Muscle wasting can be a sign of old age or other diseases like cancer or FIV.

Your cat is not getting enough exercise. The muscles are not being used. Perhaps your cat needs some encouragement to walk, run or play to use the muscles.

This is very strange. Is you cat getting an opportunity to run and exercise? If yes, they may have a genetic disorder similar to MS in humans; there is little to do in this case, but see your vet to make sure this is the problem, especially if it is a young cat.
