Why is my Chevy truck experiencing a power loss with only 44,000 miles on it?

It depends on what year truck. First, try replacing the spark plugs. Also, run some fuel injector or carburetor cleaner through it and see if that helps. If the check engine light is on, it probably needs the O2 sensor replaced.

It seem that your motor may be heading to a total breakdown. You will need to have this checked out right now and make sure the damage does not get any worse.

the air filter could be dirty. you can have a mechanic check the computer to see if a ignition problem is there. it should not be anything serious on that low of miles.
