The reason you air conditioner is dripping water is that during operation water vapor condenses on radiator wings of the cooling unit. As the vapor condenses and returns to water form it runs down into the drip pan. When the drip pan is full it drips out of the casing and puddles on the ground.

Condensation normally occurs when the airflow through the AC unit is insufficient and the unit is set on a relatively low temperature. A likely solution will be to clean the filter to allow for better airflow.

Dripping can signal clogged drain lines. To prevent this, once a month pour a cup of bleach where the drain line comes to a 'T. ' To fix the problem, take off the drain line and use high pressure CO2 to blow out the clogs. Then gently blow into where the drain line connects to the unit.

There are many reasons to why an air conditioner can drip water. It might not be properly installed, or there are some errors within the air conditioner. One situation is that the air-con is not properly aligned (front must be higher than rear, to allow water to drain off).

A few reasons can be for this. One it's the accumulation of condensation which then calls for the filter to be cleaned. Second is a sign of clogged lines which they say a cup of bleach once a month can clear the lines.

Your drain line is plugged, try having the unit serviced by a professional, They will clean the coil and the drain. In the future pour a small amount of bleach into the drain pan to keep the algae down. When the drain is working properly it wont leak inside.

Our air conditioner used to have ice build-up which would then melt and drip water. If it's possible to open it up you may see this. This would only happen if it was constantly running and shouldn't happen all the time. If it's frequent you may want to get it checked out.

During the cooling process, your air conditioner is removing moisture from the air. Therefore the air conditioning unit is creating water which passes from the rear of the unit.

Mine which was leaking badly was caused by a simple filter block. The filter had been cleaned six months ago but we had a new carpet which had put out more dander under the unit. Simply loosened the two screws and pulled oput the plastic tray filter and washed it

If your unit is dripping water the drain pain or drain fitting is clogged. Remove the acess panel on the A/C unit and locate the coil section, take a sponge and remove the water from the pan, locate the drain fitting and use a wire to clean out the fitting. If the leak continues the drain line is plugged.
