Sometimes they don't have the ability to smile yet. It's weird because after there born they have reflexes that sometimes look like a smile. But don't be alarmed if you are to worried ask your pediatrician but I say it's normal and the baby will be smiling by the time there four months.

It is hard for new mothers to remember that all babies progress at their own rate. While it is easy to read the developmental books and compare our children to other's it is important to remember that some kids are not going to do things according to the chart. Give her time.

Some babies take longer to realize things are around them and that they can react in that way. There is no reason to worry unless your baby still isnt reacting in a few months. If this is still occuring then you may want to speak with a doctor if you havent already to see what to do about it.
