Why has my favorites list has disappeared from Vista?

In vista the favorites list is added to the tools list and the list items of favorites are merged separately in the internet explorer 8.0.

There is nothing else to inquire about. Everyone has already given their opinions on a myriad of service providers, restaurants and locations. Now that mass of accumulated wealth is being compiled into an encyclopedia of taste preferences to be sold to the highest bidder.

These things just happen, you probably just got a corrupted file and it caused your data to be lost, there is no way to recover it.

The most common cause for a missing favorites list in Vista is registry cleaning software. Sometimes certain software (cleaning, malware, etc) can mistake the favorites folder for unused and delete it. To restore run command- type 'shell:links'- hit enter- restart browser.

I do not know. Maybe someone deleted them. But you can always start bye making another one and screw around with it to see if you can make them disappear again to fix the problem.
