Why doesn't the USA use the metric system?

The USA deosn't use the metric system because no law was passed to do that and most people think the standard system is better. Yes, the rest of the world deos use the metric system, even England which used to use the stand but switched to the Metric system.

There are a couple of reasons why the USA doesn't use the metric system. The first one is that it would incur a huge economic cost on the USA to switch everything to the metric system.
