Rabbits can develop benign cysts as they age. However, rabbits may also develop an abscess or a tumor. A Veternarian will be able to tell the difference, so the pet should be seen. Sooner than later is the animal is also unwell.

There could be several reasons for this but ultimately that is for a veterinarian to decide. If your rabbit is female is could be pregnant. It could also be a hernia or many, many other things. The best thing to do is to take your rabbit to the veterinarian for a proper diagnosis.

Rabbits can get cancer although it is rare. Sometimes they get cysts, or abscesses. If it's a cyst it is most likely harmless although it's best to have a vet check it out. If it's an abscess then you need to go to the vet to have it drained. An abscess is an infected puncture wound.

The lump is probably an abscess. You have to take the rabbit to a veterinarian for an examination. The vet will be able to determine if a biopsy should be done to find the cause of the lump and give any necessary Treatment.

This is nothing to fool around with. Take your rabbit to the vet and have it checked out. Rabbits can develop lumps known as an "abcess", and it has to be treated by a vet in order to get better.
