Most likely your dog is suffering from irritated ears. Look in the ears, if there is any odor or redness you should take him to the vet. After the infection clears up you should clean the ears once a week with ear cleaner and cotton balls. There are also ear cleaning wipes available.

Your dog might have an ear infection. Oftentimes when dogs continually shake their heads it signals something is wrong with their ears. Have a vet take a look at it.

He could have an ear infection, or ear mites. Try cleaning his ears with peroxide. He might also be disturbed by sounds that you can't hear, or that you can hear which don't bother you. I have known dogs who were bothered by the sounds of train whistles or fireworks in the distance.

Head shaking generally means either an ear infection or ear mites. Take him to the vet to make certain the cause and some ear drops.
