Your maybe be crying for several reasons. You can try all the basics first like check to see if she needs a diaper change or if she is hungry. Sometimes they also cry if they are bored or want to be held. Check with you doctor though.

Most young children between the ages of 6 months-2 years will cry alot. It could be as simple as a diaper change or they may want some attention.

This is probably the reason that she cries a lot, because she is frustrated and is not getting exactly what she wants. She probably has very stronge opinions of what she wants by this age. Try to help her communicate by pointing, sign language and staying calm.

Could be many things. Teething. Realization that she is a separate being from you, so a bit of separation anxiety. Testing to see what happens when she cries, how you respond. Once you've checked the obvious: diaper, injury, sickness, hunger it is probably just normal development.
