What could be wrong with my kitten if she cries when passing stool?

Its possible that she is constipated, doesnt it ever hurt when your going to the bathroom? If your that worried about her then you should call your vet and see what they reccomend.

This definitely something that should be examined by a veterinarian. On one end of the spectrum it could be something as basic as "hard" stool, so it's hard to pass. On the other end of the spectrum, it could be something as drastic as a twisted intestine or colon damage. Please have her checked out to be safe.

There could be many problems. The kitten could have ingested something that she shouldn't have or it could be a case of simple constipation or diarhea. If the stool is loose, her bottom will become sore. Try purchasing food for digestive health and pet proof your home to ensure your kitten doesn't eat anything that may hurt her.

It could have an enlarged kidney, problems with her bladder or urine. I would recommend taking her to your vet and having her checked out, as it could very well be serious.

It could be a twisted bowel :( I once had a kitten with feline aids who had the same problem, sadly she didnt survive the surgery to repair it :(

Here is the real lowdown. Not all kittens meow when they evacuate, but a large percentage do. Best guess? Underdeveloped-excretory-system-getting-used-to-real-food. Signs-are-distended-anus,-foul-gas,-and-meowing. Cure? Fatty foods, meat, kitty dry food is OK, and time...time can be months. I'd say up to four months. My-kitten-is-a-runt,-and-I-think-the-mom-kicked-her-out-because-of-her-bowel-problems. She-was-low-weight-and-causing-unwanted-attention-to-the-stray-mom-and-her-litter. Amazing-how-many-words-you-can-type-if-you-use-hyphens. But-don't-worry-too-much-if-your-kitten-is-playful-and-running-around.
