Why do they still call them Christmas concerts?

Shouldn't they be called holiday concerts in this enlightened day and age?

They are most likely called Christmas concerts because of the fact that they still center around Christmas. They feature Christmas colors, artwork, and often songs about Christmas. Also the date may be closer to Christmas. Another reason is although it's not well known, Hanukkah is not a major holiday for Jewish families; Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah are in September.

I think it depends on where the concert is held. Is it spiritual or held in a church? Then def. a Christmas concert. If it is just one of those radio concerts then I would have to say Holiday concert. I use to hate when people said Holiday but ... not everyone is christian!
