The training bra serves two purposes: it gets the girl used to wearing a bra, and it gets the breasts accustomed to being in a bra and being supported.

A training bra is for young girls to wear in order to get used to wearing bras for the future. Training bras have little purpose in providing support and most girls who wear one don't really have a need for a full-fledged bra just yet.
