Why do people try to make themselves look good?

Everyone in this world judges on looks even if they don't admit to it, or even realize it. Studies show that people who are not attractive are not as successful in life and are treated worse by others.

Many people are insecure and don't know how to act like themselves. Tehy are concerned that people won't like of accept them if they don't act out.
