Why do my finger nails and toes hurt?

You may have a fungal infection in your toenails and fingernails which could lead to pain in your fingers and toes. You may also have a growth spur in your bones.

If you are taking any toxic drugs or agents then the joints can have pain. Hence this toxic agents must be diluted and cleared out.

You could have an infection in the nails. Or you have an ingrown nail in them. Or it could be something serious, you should go see your doctor about it. If you do have an infection that could be the cause of the nails hurting. The infection in them maybe what is causing the pain.

If you cut your nails too short, you can experience discomfort or pain. This applies to both your finger nails and your toe nails. Also, an ingrown toenail can cause great pain. This can be a result of cutting your toenail too short. Fungus under your nails can also cause pain.
