Why do my eyes swell shut if I even cry one tear?

Although I am not an ophthalmologist, I would think that you are having some kind of allergic reaction to something. You need to ask yourself, does it only happen when I tear up? Is it only in the spring? Does your eyes swell at any other occasion? These are questions you need to answer and give to your ophthalmologist.

While slight puffiness and swelling around the eyes and cheeks is normal, there are several diseases and even allergies that can cause severe swelling. Definitely consult your doctor.
